Four skills. Your session survives the tool switch.

One install teaches your agent to save progress, hand work off, pick it up in the next tool, and close it out cleanly. The session outlives the window.

/checkpoint

Save work in progress without ending the session. Decisions and their reasons are kept verbatim.

Write a claimable handoff before you switch tools or stop for the day.

/handoff-resume

Pick the handoff up in the next tool. It reconciles against current reality before you resume.

How each skill works

/checkpoint
When it fires
When you ask to checkpoint, save progress, capture this, or not forget something, or when you accept the agent's offer to do so. The agent may offer; it never captures without your say-so.
What it does
A checkpoint memory carrying the decisions, their reasons, and the state of the work, across every topic in the session.
/handoff
When it fires
When you ask to end or transfer a session, run /handoff, or accept the agent's offer before switching tools, ending, or approaching compaction.
What it does
A handoff another session can claim, gathered through the checkpoint workflow, with its decisions and state preserved.
/handoff-resume
When it fires
At session start when hello reports open handoffs, or when you run /handoff-resume.
What it does
Claims the handoff you choose and checks it against the current state of the work before picking it up.
/wrap-up
When it fires
When you ask for a wrap-up, run /wrap-up, or accept the agent's offer once the work has stabilized.
What it does
The stable state of the work. Completing actions and archiving finished intents or projects is confirmed with you separately, so nothing closes without your say-so.
